BUILDING
TIP:
In
the boxcar coupler pocket, there is an impression, indicating where
one should drill to place the coupler mounting screw. As the
boxcar uses the same underframe as the flats, gondolas and pulpwood
rack cars, the impression in the wrong place for the boxcar.
Drilling in this location would have the screw going into the end
walls of the car. The best way to mount the coupler is with
Walther's Goo. Put a dab in the coupler pocket, place the
coupler into the pocket and then remove until the Goo has dried.
Then push both pieces back together and the coupler will stick in the
pocket.

CHIVERS
To
all of you that my have had any of the Coaches or Combines on
backorder with me and did not receive any, I sincerely
apologize. The last run of cars by Mr. Chivers, only produced 7
coaches and 18 combines. The run was based on the number of
resin bodies he had left in stock and he does not intend to every make
them again. I was told that there was a total of 25 cars to be
delivered, but at the time, he did not know how many of each there
were.
